I have cleaned section and feed with mineral. There are absolutely no chips, cracks or repairs to the hard rubber. The section and feed are made of Hard Rubber in what is known as the Cardinal Red Hard Rubber color a significant color that is difficult to find without cracking. This part will fit the Waterman Cardinal
