There is inlaid silver decoration on the heel plates and traces remain on the spikes and arms of the spurs

There is a silver button on the heel of the handle

Vintage South American Gaucho Horse Whip or Rebenque - w1577 indian 5cm)Weight 333g (11¾oz)This old whip has a dark hardwood handle with turned decoration. It has a silver coloured metal cap and two collars these are stamped with a possible hallmark or maker's stamp which I cannot read please look at the images. There is a chain on the top of the cap for hanging the whip from the saddle or a belt. At the other end of the whip there is a thick leather or hide section. The first part is rolled (rather like a sjambok) the lower part is flat
