In fact looking at the MTG Commander Masters deck's mana base, it doesn't seem to be any better than a regular precon MTG Commander deck

It being costed at 3 mana and 3 to equip makes it slower than Sword BUT it starts equipped to a germ token, which makes it faster initially because you dont have to take time to make that first equip

It produces a very natural overlap between creature-cheat and ETB storm

I really love a Voltron approach to Commander (I just built a nasty little deck with that Secret Lair Wolverine) because I love to turn my creatures sideways
