The razor was made in the Showa period around 60s/ 70s and never used before

The wonderful Cherry Wood Handle was treated with several layers of raw and black Urushi and sprinkles of golden brass were added which makes it looks like the Milky Way・Amanogawa in Japanese

Stamped into the tang: 湯屋専用 — yuya sen’yō — exclusively for bathhouse use

it was still in good shape so we kept it and only removed surface rust and sharpened it

It was never used before and just had a few spots that needed restorative attention
